Eder Joven 2007
Editorial Reviews for Eder Joven
Raspberry jam, herbs, sandy soil, soaring if simple aromatics, this is modern smelling but so precise and clear that it’s completely alluring. In the mouth the wine comes of as a little lean and light though it retains a lovely freshness and is very well balanced. After the promise of the aromatics this under-delivers a bit but still is a zesty, fruity, young Rioja with well integrated wood notes and a smooth, elegant finish that reveals a lovely watermelon tone. 88pts
Strawberries and spice on the nose. Great balance of bright strawberry and oak here makes for quite an interesting wine.
A combination of pepper with raspberries and cherries on the nose. A spicey pepper kick to it with layers of fruit and earth components intertwined, lovely complex finish.
Very fruity and flavorful
Great light body wine! Very nice aftertaste for a young Rioja!
Great Summer Red!
This wine is the bee's knees, in the sense that it reminds me of the limb-joints of insects. If you like toasted almonds, bananas, and ripe fruit, then you are in for a treat.. I can see this being a good complement to sharp cheeses, not so much fun to drink alone.
