Winemaker's Notes:

"Medium to deep garnet-purple-colored, the 2010 The Long Road Shiraz gives aromas of warm black currant, crushed blackberries and licorice with subtle hints of black pepper, tar, Provencal herbs and fertile loam. Medium-bodied, the palate lends a good amount of vibrant blackberry and herbal flavors with crisp acid, a medium level of grainy tannins and a long finish. Drinking well now, it should keep to 2017+...90+" WA 4/12 "Inky purple. High-pitched aromas of blackberry, licorice and violet pastille. Dense, chewy and alluringly sweet, with excellent youthful intensity to its black and blue fruit flavors. Firmly structured, very fresh and long, finishing with floral and spice qualities and silky tannins...91" IWC 10/11
