Echeverria Reserva Chardonnay 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Vina Echeverria is a long established Chilean family owned and managed Estate, producing high quality wines. Their 75 hectares of vineyards, in one single block, and their state-of-art winery are located on the outskirts of the town of Molina in the Curicó Valley, 200Km south of Santiago. Vina Echeverria only make wine from their estate grown grapes, all of which originate from ungrafted select clones of pre-phylloxera French rootstock | High priority is given to care in the vineyards and canopy management to control vegetative growth. Exposure to sunlight and air movement on the leaves are maximised, leading to almost organic viticulture with the minimum use of agrochemical products. All members of the Echeverria family are involved at the winery making an unbeatable team, bonded together by the strongest forces of all: deep family roots, a shared passion for winemaking, an uncompromising search of excellence and a total commitment to their customers' satisfaction. I have fallen in LOVE with the reds out of this vineyard in the Cohchugua Valley of Chile. Their fresh, distinctive quality and absolute definitive & distinctive freshness, purity, and adherence to the grape varietal flavor is beyond phenomenal. What I love even more is that for the price points on these wines, you are getting better taste & quality for your dollar; definitely NOT overpaying for wine- you are UNDERPAYING for the quality of the syrah, carmenere, and cabernet. I have the best description of their med-heavy reds - DECADENT VELVET WITH ABSOLUTE PERFECTED PURITY & DINSTINCTIVE FRESHNESS. TRY THEIR WINES! THEY ARE WELL WORTH THE PRICE UNDER $20 for young vintages- and the quality increases yearly uncorked! THESE ARE BEYOND BEST BUYS! THESE ARE BEST EVERS! Read less
