Echeverria Cabernet Reserve 2006
Viña Echeverria is a long established Chilean estate winery fully owned and managed by the Echeverria family. The vineyards and winery are located in the outskirts of the town of Molina, Cuico Valley, the wine heartland of Chile. They produce fine wines with a commitment to quality and excellence. This Cabernet Sauvignon combines aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries, with hints of chocolate, spices and tobacco. It is a full bodied wine, with round and mature tannins, and a long lasting finish
I absolutely love this wine for the price. It reminds me of the Owen Roe I drank on a lesser scale. My brother says I love "fruit bombs" (and I do), and this is an elegant fruit bomb - one that doesn't attack your palet or your senses... After passing this wine through my aerator, I experienced ripe cherries, strawberries, tabacco, with a slightly dry & pleasant woodsy finish... one that lingers for a happy few moments. Oh, and a hint of pepper at the end. I would glady drink again... and in fact, I think I will! Pick yourself up a bottle. Oh, and if my memory serves me correctly, I like this bottle more than the white and silver embossed "Limited Edition" (which costs more). Additionally, I would rate this 5 glasses and I'm trying to reserve that rating for the absolutely stellar (from this point forward).... so I'm rating it 4.5.

From the Curico Valley of Chile comes this Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich with pretty blackberry and red cherry fruit aromas and a touch of mint on the finish.
Bright ruby red with purple hues. Intense aromas of strawberries, blackberries and cherries, blend smoothly with notes of coffee and tabacco. Round and silky on the palate, it has a fulfilling mouthfu

High priority is given to care in the vineyards and canopy management to control vegetative growth. Exposure to sunlight and air movement on the leaves are maximised, leading to almost organic viticulture with the minimum use of agrochemical products. All members of the Echeverria family are involved at the winery making an unbeatable team, bonded together by the strongest forces of all: deep family roots, a shared passion for winemaking, an uncompromi...
