Add your reviewI would give this a 5 but I am sure that there are probably others better, however I love this Pinot. Fantastic on the nose, delicate, supple. Stone fruit with a touch of cinnamon but not 'fruity'... love it...currently my favorite, but I always say that when I find a new wine that I love :))
This was a good pinot, but non-descript. Cheaper than most Pinots these days, so for the money it seems like a good buy. We had it with seafood and paired quite well with a spiciness of our meal.
Pretty much what Winehorn said... I think it's very hard to find even a "non-descript" pinot for nine bucks, so I gave it an extra 1/4 glass for that. ;-)
I agree with the commentary. This was a nice Pinot at any price point. The fact that it was under 10 bucks adds to the mix. Definitely something you might pick up on the way to a party.
Some old-world earthiness, but lacking in both old-world complexity and new-world quaffability.

Notes of blueberry, cherry, and maple syrup. Body was light, spicy, definite bing cherry.
The Chalone Wine Group created their Echelon brand in 1997 to offer a range of inexpensive wines to complement Chalonersquo;s single-vineyard bottlings. This Pinot Noir certainly tastes much better than its price would have you believe. With fruit coming mainly from growers in the cool-climate Santa Lucia Highlands above Californiarsquo;s Salinas Valley, the wine is packed with sweet strawberry and cherry flavors, layers of wood, and soft tannins.
