Delicious wine. Elegantly structured, wonderfully balanced and flavorful with a lovely dark chocolate tone at the finish. 95 pts. 8/31/12 at winery
We were given a glass of this as we were starting a wine cave tour and said we wouldn't buy it for the $65 price. After sipping as we went through the tour, we changed our minds and bought a bottle. A very nice Cab for those who might otherwise not prefer Cabs
Nine years old. Not a classic cab. Big fruit forward but not a fruit bomb. Tannins have mellowed to add subtle complexities given the 24 months on American Oak this wine was aged in. We would agree with the previous reviewer, "A very nice cab for those who might otherwise not prefer Cabs" Red fruit, cherry, sour cherry with slighter hints of raspberry, black berry; vanilla and light cocoa. Complex enough to work with food, but may be better as a standalone wine. In our opinion, it's at it's peak now.
