Eben Sadie Sequillo White 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Eben Sadie has a reputation as the 'enfant terrible' of South African wine. He started off his wine-making career at Charles Back's Spice Route winery, and set up his own vineyard over 10 years ago. This Sequillo White is an interesting blend of Chenin, Grenache, Viognier and Rousanne grapes. Jancis Robinson gave this wine 17.5 points and says "Savoury/sour greengage nose and palate. Weight and freshness. Higher viscosity - lower lying vineyards. Sweeter aromatics than Palladius. Great line and freshness but full in the mouth. Really mineral and dry and very very long and constantly evolving from a tight start. Fine apricot on the nose and palate."
