Easton Zinfandel Amador County 2007
Winemaker's Notes:
2007 Easton Zinfandel Amador County - From the makers of lauded Rhne varietal wines, Terre Rouge, in Amador County's Shenandoah Valley comes this delicious zin. Made from grapes grown in decomposed granite soil, the wine is full of black cherry and blackberry fruit aromas and a touch of spice. It is big and juicy with creamy texture from 10 months in French oak. Drinkable now, this will continue to gain complexity with age. This is a California Wine.

Add your reviewSpicy, sour cherry jam comes to mind as I hold the glass to my nose. It is brambly, ripe and juicy, and just a hint smoky. Acidity, tannins, and alcohol are all in balance. This Zinfandel has a big, lasting mouthfeel. Perfect to serve all alone or, as is often recommended, with barbeque or grilled meats. Either way it is a good value wine that sure to please.
