Our Shenandoah Valley bottling always emphasizes the pure jammy brambly boysenberry/blueberry fruit of this appellation. The fruit is interwoven with complex melange of spices: cinnamon, pepper, and a nice creaminess from barrel aging in French oak. The wine shows great body, flavor, and balance. Harvest was late in 1998 with most of this fruit entering the winery the second week of October. The wine was bottled in late June 2000. Alcohol: 14% by volume
