E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rose 2013
Editorial Reviews for E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rose
Very restrained nose but the intense floral character of the viognier comes through the otherwise tight smoky nose the grows in the glass revealing fairly intense notes of sassafrass and quinine by the end of the night.. Offers lots of blackberry fruit in the mouth with notes of wood spice and hard red candy offering some contrast but the wine remains a bit ungiving and tight. Solid potential for improvement here but give it another 3-5 years.
2009 vintage. Grenachy, a bit more earthy and fuller bodied than what I expected. Not bad but had better in this price range, Parallel 45 for example.
Good table wine
I really like this wine. It has a beautiful festive color nice and pink. It has a taste similar to Sauvignon Blanc. I will be ordering this again.
Meh. A disappointment, but probably only because it came recommended. Very middle-of-the-road; not the quality-for-the-price you're looking for from a Cotes du Rhone.
E guigal little sharp
Smells like wine--a non-eventful wine. Nice deep burgundy color, hints of oak, a little sweet, and a little dry. Hints of berries, grape juice and caremal. It's not overpowering, nor inspiring, but a decent French red wine.

Aromas of white flowers, apricot, acacia and white peach. Fruity with and round; very elegant.
Racy, full of fresh fruits with red berries and spices rounded with smooth tannins. A long finish, plenty of elegance.
Mittellanger Abgang.
A plump, mouthfilling, tropical style, with dried peach, mango and apricot notes offset by a taut thread of orange zest. Singed almond and ginger course through the richly textured finish. Drink now through 2016.
A lush, complex Syrah from arguably the world\'s greatest Syrah-producing appellation.
Readers wanting a slightly more Burgundian, smoky, roasted nut, creamy styled white should check out the 2011 St.-Joseph Lieu-Dit St.-Joseph Blanc, which is also a blend of 90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne aged in 100% new oak. The oak provides subtle notes of toast, but this full-bodied, creamy-textured white also exhibits plenty of creme brulee, honeyed orange, peach marmalade, quince and white currant characteristics. This beauty will offer terrific drinking over the next 5–7 years.
Intense yellow plum, fig and poached pear aromas are deepened by suave vanilla and anise notes. Lively orange pith and pit fruit flavors show excellent clarity, focus and back-end power. Deftly combines sweetness and energy, finishing with lingering vanilla and honey qualities.
