E. & J. Gallo Twin Valley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Member Review by Mosca:

I regularly drink their cab & merlot for a inexpensive daily drinking wine so I decided to try this. IT'S CRAP... Tasted like it was made with sea water. Just a horribly salty taste from start to finish. Guaranteed to piss off an owl. I wouldn't pour it on my worst enemy if they were drowning...

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

It's official. I Hate Gallo wines. All varieties. Period. Their Cabernet tastes surprisingly like all of their other wines (eerily as though from the same grape!) Horrible.

I drunk it with no high expactations as I know that Gallo wines are always trying to be somewhat democratic - they want to please the majority. So they lack of experimental features. This wine is a very smooth, easy to drink juice that makes a good companion with meat and cheese. But don´t expect to remember the taste the next morning.
