Food Pairings for Duval-Leroy Champagne Blend Champagne Brut
Bright golden toast hue with constantly streaming pinpoint bubbles, and aromas of baked apple-pear tarts with a kiss of citrus; rich flavor notes of biscuits and dried pear dancing over a almost never-ending finish. Great sparkling value!
WD: Duval Leroy Fleur de Champagne Brut NV: 80% C, 20% PN, a blend of twenty crus from Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. An obvious lemon sherbet nose. Full, very fresh palate, with firm acidity. A rather sharp mousse, whic fades quickly. Will improve in the short term. Good. 16+/20.
Good value for money champers, not particularly distinctive though
Really enjoyed this wine, but not sure the pretty bottle is worth the extra price.
Fairly singular, but absolutely delicious brut champagne that won't kill your wallet.
External Reviews for Duval-Leroy Champagne Blend Champagne Brut
Duval-Leroy has its finger on the consumer hot button; this is what most people conjure up in their mental palate when the word Champagne pops up. Full, almost fleshy, and richly delicious, this is not the most complex or elegant bottle. But in terms of delivering big, friendly flavor at a fair price, this is the one to beat. I particularly like the way the wine continues to evolve on the back palate; it doesnrsquo;t just sit there and grin at you. It smoothly rides into a toasty sunset, waving its big hat.
Founded in 1859, Duval-Leroy has been under the direction of owner Carol Duval-Leroy since 1990, and she is one of the few women at the helm of a Champagne house. This full-bodied non-vintage brut uses a 2003 base and blends 75 percent Pinot Noir with 25 percent Chardonnay. The grapes were sourced from 20 different vineyards located on the Montagne de Reims and the Cocirc;te des Blancs.

Apple and bread dough flavors mark this Champagne, which shows a touch of honey. Medium-bodied, with moderate length. Tails off a little on the finish. Drink now.
A full style of wine, with a touch of toast. This is rich, with flavors of white fruits as well as a layer of acidity that comes through. An attractive wine from a firm that is on the way up.
Complex and beguiling, with floral, rosemary, candied citrus and mineral aromas and flavors. This is both elegant and intense, with a vibrant structure and long finish. Ideal as an aperitif or with light foods. Drink now through 2007.
There's a creamy edge to the quince, biscuit, honey and ginger flavors in this well-cut Champagne, which help to balance the firm acidity. Vibrant and expressive, with a zesty finish. Drink now through 2014. 40,000 cases made. -AN Wine Spectator. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Duval Leroy Brut 750ml
Providing a perfect balance between finesse and power, it draws out flavors of dark chocolate, cinnamon and roasted yellow figs, expressing its subtle, melt-in-the-mouth vinosity.
