- This is a terrific Pinot Noir. From a cool hillside vineyard at the far western edge of the Russian River AVA - barely in the climatic range of grape-growing feasibility - it requires the right set of conditions to ripen properly. But it must have done so in 2005 since this is a rich, unusually complex, Burgandian-style Pinot Noir. Captivating perfume of ripe cherry, black raspberry, and a melange of spices and floral notes; still tannic but with a velvety, regal, mouth-coating feel. Outstanding length and depth.
