Full of stone fruit with great acid balance. A bit of new oak, but not too much.

The Dutcher Crossing winemaking style is “hand-crafted.” From the selection of special blocks of choice grapes within a vineyard to our small open-top fermenting tanks, our wines receive the hands-on attention required to produce wines of the exceptional quality that exhibit the intense flavors and character of each varietal. All our wines are then aged in American, French or European oak barrels until they are ready for bottling. Dutcher Crossing Vineyard The majestic vineyard in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley is the home of Dutcher Crossing Winery. Its rich sandy and silt loam surface soils mixed with some gravel and clay provide a favorable terrior for grapevines as roots can extend deeper in the soil profile. For over 30 years this vineyard has been producing outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for high-quality wines, and its fruit commands some of the highest Cabernet prices in the county. The vineyard is being replanted to align micro soil content with the best grape varietals, root stocks and clones. Our goal is to produce some of the finest estate produced and bottled wines in the Dry Creek Valley. With a magnificent view of the panoramic vineyards and hillside beauty of the Dry Creek Valley, our tasting room welcomes visitors with a sampling of some Dry Creek's best wines. In an intimate setting, Dutcher Crossing Winery is the perfect place to spend the afternoon. Away from the crowds, just outside of Healdsburg, you will find a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere here in our tasting room and winery. The Tasting Room and Picnic Area are open 7 days a week from 11am-5pm. We are closed Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years day. We can accommodate private and group tours, by appointment only. Read less

Floral nose with some berry, oak, slight citrus. Subtle, complex; very well balanced between oak and fruit, not huge but strong. Give it some air.
