Color is dark purple. On the nose, mainly blackberry and blueberry. On the tongue, predominantly jammy blackberry and blueberry with overtones of cassis and tar with subtle tar and smoke. Medium bodied plus, refined tannins, moderate fruity/smokey finish; good velvety, dense and fruity mouthfeel. Recommended.
Here is the description from the wine bar that had this in the "Sexy Reds" flight: "A lush, toasty style, with lots of cocoa and roasted vanilla up front, follows by dark, well-layered fig, boysenberry and mulled currant fruit favors. 89 PTA Wine Spectator Franklin, I found this wine unremarkable. Hallow, with nothing of the aspects promised by the description. Who has roasted vanilla as a reference frame anyway? I'll try it again but my expectations will be lower.
Horrible tasting wine! The wine smelled like and tasted like formalin! Having been a medical examiner, I know the characteristics of this toxic chemical compound all too well. I amd 3 of my friends all agreed - this wine is totally undrinkable! We dumped the remainder of this foul liquid down the drain! Avoid this wine like the plague!
Great Malbec from one of the best producers in Argentina. Good balance, strawberry and raspberry fruit, nice clean finish.

Good blackberry, plum and black cherry fruit, along with notes of coffee and beef. Slightly rustic finish, but good, solid fruit. Drink now.
Good ruby-red. Dark berries, sweet cherry, spices and smoked meat on the nose. Supple on entry, with a jammy sweetness. Easygoing currant and spice flavors. Not bad, but I lowered my score a bit for a distinct greenness that was not in harmony with the wine's riper elements.
A lush, toasty style, with lots of cocoa and roasted vanilla up front, followed by dark, well-layered fig, boysenberry and mulled currant fruit flavors. The long finish lets all the fruit hang nicely, with an underlying graphite hint supporting it all. Drink now through 2011.
Purple in color, with oaky aromas manifested in the form of sawdust, cinnamon and chocolate. Ripe berry and plum notes carry the toasty palate, and the finish comes back with additional chocolate, toast and vanilla. Rich and solid.
Durigutti is a noted Mendoza consultant who makes more ambitious wines, as well as this fruity and approachable malbec. It's full of juicy cherries and strawberries, with a springtime freshness.
Good medium ruby. High-toned aromas of blackberry pastille, licorice, violet and fresh herbs. Vinous and on the lean side, with fresh acidity framing the candied blackberry and licorice flavors. Juicy but a bit dry on the back. Not bad, but a tad pinched.
