good fruit flavor, sweet, can go well with pork or chicken. or just have a glass!! Has a good finish as well.
This wine will creep on you. Finished a bottle in an evening, and enjoyed every drop.
What I had was Duplin red. Interesting and quite good.
I found it sweet and floral with a little alcohol bite when held for an extra moment, medium mouth feel and clean finish. While not my first choice for a dessert wine I think it is a nice after dinner drink.
This wonderful wine took me back to my childhood growing up in middle Georgia. It was a wonderful experience that I will recommend to my childhood friends.
First of all, I was born and raised in the South and I'm no wino. I usually buy whatever's cheaper and it usually all tastes about the same to me. With that being said, a friend of mine gave me 6 of these beasts. No joke, it was unbearable to drink more than a few sips without getting the mother of all sugar-rushes. I can down a McDonald's sweet tea in a minute, but I could not finish a 4 oz pour of this. Here's a tip: Letting it ferment a little more would convert that excess sugar into alcohol. This Duplin Scuppernong White Wine belongs on the lower shelves of the wine selection at a gas station. I give it 1 star for being historic, but let it be known that historic doesn't make it good.
Delicious sweet, but not-too-sweet, wine with a full fresh grape flavor.
