Duplin Winery Pink Magnolia Rosé NV - 07/11/10

Person doing a wine tasting at Whole Foods raved about this NC wine even though WF doesn't carry it. It was sweeter than I expected given the recommendation. I love dry rose, and this was not; it was quite sweet. It has the distinctive muscadine/scuppernong flavor. Duplin recommends it as a pairing for spicy food and comparable to white zin, but I think it is more of a porch-sipper. Best very icy cold.

Duplin Winery Pink Magnolia Rosé NV - 05/31/10

This was a surprising find. Some of Duplin's wines are a little sweet for me but this is lovely-- crisp, fruity, floral, with all the things I love and expect from a muscadine. Great wine.

I am not an expert but I know what I like. This wine has a very smooth and light floral taste. It is absolutely delicious!
