Food Pairings for Dunham Cellars Syrah Columbia Valley
On the nose, as well as on the palate, what I would describe as smokey mixed-berry cobbler. Fruit is a little bit subdued, acid very vibrant, tannins discernible but slightly faded; oak is well integrated - enough smokiness to enhance the flavors but not overbearing.Well crafted wine but slightly imbalanced at the moment - not sure if it's fading or hibernating. Lingering finish, not so much heat.
