DuMOL's Pinot Noirs exhibit uncommon depth and complexity for a new world wine. With a focused winemaking regime, and grapes coming from the coolest area of Russian River Valley, the Green Valley, these wines achieve an acidity and minerality that is unparalleled.

As for the 2005 Pinot Noir Finn, this is another impeccably well-made wine, revealing a slightly darker ruby hue to it than its siblings. Displaying notes of sassafras, black fruit such as currant, and deep, very ripe raspberries, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with terrific acidity and a smoky meatiness on the palate. The wine should drink nicely for at least 7-10 years.

The 2005 Pinot Noir Aidan is a pretty wine, with a deep ruby red color and pure raspberry and cherry notes intermixed with some underbrush and earth. The wine is long, medium-bodied, with loads of freshness and acidity giving it zip and zest. It should drink nicely for 5-7 years.

Fresh aromas of wild berry, cola, sage and mint are rich and concentrated, with a nice fresh earth loaminess to the texture and finish. Young and tight. Best from 2008 through 2013. 378 cases made. -JL Wine Spectator. A Pinot Noir wine from California in USA. 2005 Dumol Pinot Noir Ryan Green Valley 1500ml

The 2005 Pinot Noir Russian River (2,500 cases) had recently been moved to tank and was awaiting bottling when I tasted it. It is a medium-bodied effort displaying plenty of berry fruit, dried herbs, lavender, spicy oak, and roasted meat characteristics. Savory with good acidity, it is a strong Russian River cuvee to drink over the next decade.

Winemaker's Notes:

Deep ruby red. Great aromatic complexity with truffles, fresh earth, thyme and kirsch. Bright red fruit and darker wild berry flavors lead to roasted meat and anise notes. Great inner-mouth energy and vibrancy with supple, elegant tannins and a touch of orange peel on the long spicy back end. Approachable on release, our 2005 RRV Pinot bottling should provide great drinking pleasure for up to eight years with good cellaring. Serve between 58 and 62 degrees to ensure full flavor development.
