Dulcis Rosso

Member Review by ZingerTheHero:

I signed up on this site just to review this wine (though now that I'm registered, I'm sure I'll write some more reviews later), so I think that says something about it. I found this wine at my local HEB store here in Texas, under a label that said "Customer Favorites." I'd never heard of it, but at $8.99 a bottle, I didn't have much to lose. The bottle had a screw-off cap and seemed to look a little bit "fizzy" when I held it up to the light. Based on this, I stuck it in the fridge for 40 minutes before breaking it open, assuming it was more of a dessert wine and would taste better slightly chilled. Then came the taste--simply put, it blew me away. So light and fruity; it goes down smooth and, had someone given me a sip of this liquid without telling me what it was, I probably wouldn't have even guessed it was an alcoholic beverage. It really does not taste like any red wine I have ever tried. I enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, but this was my first experience with a sweet wine, and all I can say is if they all taste like this, I may just have to start delving into them more. Noticing the alcohol content was only a little above 4%, I drank the entire bottle in one sitting. I'm going back to the store tomorrow to snatch up as much of this good stuff as I can, preferably by the case, because this was just simply delicious. If I could be guaranteed a glass or two of this every night for the rest of my life, that would be...very nice. Best wine I've ever had.

This has got to be the best wine ever, so smooth and no bitter after taste.
