($278) Knockout ripe aromas of black raspberry, minerals, flowers, mocha, espresso and animal fur. Sweet and creamy, with a wonderfully fine-grained texture and impressive volume for the year. The intense, fruit-driven flavors of blackberry and cassis are given lift and vinosity by the wine's harmonious, ripe acidity. Finishes with building, ripe tannins and lovely subtle persistence.

The ultra ripe aromas displayed from cask have actually become finer and fresher with a graceful and elegant character that are followed by sappy, vibrant, intense and powerful flavors that are impeccably balanced and superbly long. A breathtaking wine.
