Duckhorn Vineyards Merlot Napa Valley Estate Grown 1994
Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent a quarter century establishing itself as one of North America's premier producers of Bordeaux varietal wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its addition of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a tradition of quality and excellence that continues today.
Drank this a bunch growing up with my uncle. Can't beat it.

This is an immense, deeply concentrated, richly flavored wine that's quite tannic at this stage, balancing the currant, plum and berry flavors that persist through the finish. Best to cellar into 2001 or beyond. 7,000 cases made. (JL) Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 1994 Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
An outstanding Merlot that works its way into complex and interesting flavors, turning up hints of cherry, currant, anise and cedar. Finishes with a firmly tannic edge, but nothing out-of-bounds. Can cellar into 1998 or '99. A blend: 82 percent Merlo... Wine Spectator. A Merlot wine from California in USA. 1994 Duckhorn Merlot 750ml
