Winemaker Notes:This well-rounded wine shows great aging potential with firm, polished tannins, excellent balance, and great length. The aroma is tightly focused with dark fruit elements of plum, fig, and blackberry accented by cinnamon, tobacco, and olive. Sweet figs on the nose with a hint of maple syrup. This is a wonderful oaky offering which manages to have a bright character riding on top of it despite all of the darker, richer, leathery oaky flavors that linger.
To me this is the type of wine I think of when I think of Napa Cabs. Smokey, chewy cab with a bit of spice. Aromas have some caramel and tobacco. Soft tannins, good mouth feel, lingering finish and good acidity. To sum it up: YUMMY.
Great fruity and floral nose - the cabernet franc in the blend gives it this floral element. Pretty hot on the nose too. Silky yet still with great solid cab structure. Gobs of dark fruits (prunes, raisins), vanilla and a very long finish on strong tannins. Had with Silver Mountain Cheddar
