Wine has enchanted poets for centuries, and for good reason: like poetry, good wine can be an emotional experience, lifting the spirit and delighting the senses as it satisfies the soul. At Duck Walk Vineyards, our award-winning wines are quite literally dreams come true. It was the dream of our founder, Dr. Herodotus “Dan” Damianos, that helped create the winemaking industry on Long Island in the early 1980’s. In 1994 he and his son Alexander founded Duck Walk Vineyards. The Normandy Chateau-style building in Water Mill, a true Hamptons landmark, became home to what has quickly evolved into one of the most well-known names in Long Island wine. Duck Walk has two locations – the flagship winery is located in Southampton, New York. In 2007 we have added a new location on the North Fork of Long Island. Surrounded by 30 beautiful acres of Sauvignon Blanc grape vines, Duck Walk North is an ideal location to taste Duck Walk’s renowned wines while visiting Long Island’s famous Wine Trail. Both tasting rooms are beautifully designed and accommodate large parties and everyone who would like to taste our award winning wines! Today Duck Walk Vineyards encompasses 140 scenic acres. We produce some 35,000 cases of wine a year, and our wines have been repeatedly recognized for excellence in national competitions. From our Vidal Ice Wine made with grapes actually frozen on the vine, to our Blueberry Port crafted from wild Maine blueberries, to our unique Pinot Meunier, we strive to create wines that are distinctive and exceptional. But at heart we are still a family with a personal touch in every aspect of our business. Read less

Pinot Meunier is one of the three grapes used to make traditional champagne. Duck Walk Vineyards is one of only a handful of vineyards in the country to grow Pinot Meunier, and the only East Coast winery to produce a full varietal bottling of this noble grape. This light-bodied red is minimally aged in oak and displays aromas of raspberry and wood with a pleasing smokiness on top. Pair with a nice dry rub BBQ Duck Walk Vineyards Website
