Duck Walk Blueberry Port Mid Valley Wine & Liquor 2005
I'm somewhat repulsed by the smell. Floral and sweet and fruity and alcoholic, but in a bad way. It's definitely sweet and tastes of blueberries which isn't so surprising but it just isn't my thing. The finish is the most pleasant part, but still somewhat disturbing in its bite.
I used to love this wine. I'm not sure if my palette changed or the vintage did... Hot slightly sweet nose of blueberries and plums. Slightly sweet, not too much residual sugar, but so fruity. Rather acidic, helps balance the fruit, but a bit overbearing.
Made with Maine blueberries. This is a very sweet port. Sugary sweet, but with some complex flavors. Gold medal winner.
i love it! it's amazing. and the blueberry finish is so smooth!
