Founded in 1993, Duck Pond Cellars owns and operates 840 acres of vineyards in the valleys of northern Oregon and slopes of eastern Washington. Growing in these diverse climates allows Duck Pond Cellars to produce the best quality fruit for a wide selection of wines.
This one is special. Purchased from a supermarket for under $7 dollars I was quite surprised. Deep fruit peppery aroma. Taste of rich currant/plum/prune/anise and cedar. A touch of vanilla with balanced oak flavor. Deep purple/almost black color with a beautiful balance. I wouldn't hesitate after knowing how good this wine is to pay much more for it. It has a flavor that is lasting and unforgettable. This one is pruduced on the Wahluke slope in Eastern Washington where some winners are born.
