Duboeuf Georges Pouilly-Fuisse Domaine Beranger 2002
Its wonderful red and black cherry aromas lead to a medium to full-bodied core of sweet, plush, intensely expressive fruit. Red Cherries, roses, and raspberries are found in this seductive effort’s pure and complex character. It is wonderfully concentrated, fresh, deep, and long in the finish.
Soft and simple gamay wine. As usual for this kind of wine, no grip of tannins or spice. The fruit was a bit mono-dimensional, just straightforward black cherry. I'm not sure I would seek it out or buy it again--prefer other Beaujolais wines to this one.
Extremely good beaujolais wine. Light and fruity red, with raspberries and some depth as a result of the bottle age. An excellent example of the gamay varietal. Would be good with light roasted meats and most summer foods.
