Food Pairings for Duboeuf Fleurie Chateau des Bachelards
External Reviews for Duboeuf Fleurie Chateau des Bachelards
The Chateau des Bachelards is a well known property in the village of Fleurie, having produced some of the best wine in the region for generations. Georges Duboeuf offers this Fleurie as a single estate bottling which is very unique in this region, where most wines are sold as negociant blends. Fleurie of course is one of Beaujolais’ most popular and highly regarded single Crus. The estate vineyards are very old, most of the Gamay vines are over 60 years of age. The low yield grapes are deeply concentrated and rich. This wine is unusually full-bodied and expansive, seeming quite burgundy-like. The black cherry flavors run deep and suggest a wine that will continue to evolve over the next 2-4 years. On sale now, don’t miss it.
