This is a rough, sweet, alcoholic wine. It displayed jammy dark berry flavors with a rustic mouthfeel. At first, I was a little disappointed. I consumed half of the bottle the first night and the other half the second night. The next day, it was better. The roughness, alcohol and sweetness had blown off. I had it with Mexican food and it paired well. The sweetness and alcohol of the wine went well with the heat and assertiveness of the Mexican food. I highly recommend this pairing.
