A balanced, focused, zesty wine of great value at this price. The nose displays pepper and spice, with dark fruits dancing through. The palate launches to fruit medleys of blackberry and raspberry, enlivened by spikes of pepper and a nicely tangy acidity. The wine endures nicely over two days, but is ready to drink at opening.

Our 2008 Heritage Zinfandel, blended from Dry Creek Valley and Russian River Valley fruit, shows off all that is appealing about Zinfandel. The warm 2008 vintage gave us beautifully ripe grapes. Aromas of raspberries, cherries and spicy oak are followed by flavors of blueberry pie and dark chocolate. This is a very well balanced wine, flavorful and smooth, made for daily enjoyment.
