Aromas of crushed rose petals, apricots, and honey in this golden wine. Flavors of apricot crumble, with a fresh finish. Not cloying or overly sweet, decent acid in the core relative to the sweetness. A very easy-to-drink dessert wine.

Wine Tasting NotesThis late harvest Sauvignon Blanc exudes intense honeysuckle, peach, kiwi, tropical fruit, and floral aromas. On the palate, flavors of honeyed peach, apricot, and concentrated orange zest are interwoven with notes of apple pie spice and lemon. Rich and full in the mouth, the wine finishes clean and well balanced. Our 2000 Soleil is a perfect companion to foie gras, pears with a blue-veined creamy cheese, Italian biscotti, or on its own as dessert.

Connoisseurs Guide to California Wine ReviewRated 88Muted elements of fresh grasses and green herbs keep this bottling varietally true, but its main message is one of juicy, mildly flowery, kiwi-like fruit, and it is made more attractive still by its open architecture and wonderfully smooth, well balanced feel. It is bright and alive and wholly enjoyable now, and its fruity richness commends it to service with flavorful chhicken preparations.Wine Tasting NotesThe Taylor's Vineyard Sauvignon Musque displays a depth of character not often found in Sauvignon Blanc. Stone fruit aromas such as melon and Asian pears are evident along with a strong sense of minerality and texture. On the palate, these unique characteristics combine to fool one into thinking barrel fermentation is evident. However, 100% stain-less steel fermentation was used in making this wine. The finish has excellent balance and acidity making it a very food friendly wine.

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Enthusiast Review Rated 90 A Sauternes-style white dessert blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, and quite a good one. Shows sweet flavors of apricot jam, pineapples, vanilla creme brulee and spices, with fine, crisp acidity for clean balance.
