What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

The Dry Creek Valley, known primarily for its delicious Zinfandel, also produces very intense and flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This impressive Cabernet displays compelling aromas of sweet cherry, lush plum, and roses. The opulence of this wine shines through with a harmonious core of silky smooth tannins and rich fruit. Palate filling flavors of sweet currant, black cherry, and cocoa are perfectly balanced. This delicious wine should age beautifully for a decade or more.

Oaky at first then turning really meaty and smoky with tobacco and tea notes to the dark, brooding fruit. This reveals both sweet ripe fruit and dried fruit notes with a deep mulberry jam tone. This was tasted at the Snooth Panel Blind Tasting. It was the last wine in the tasting and by this point I wasn't picking up much so I'd need to taste this again to be sure. It had an aroma of tea and cedar. It had a jammy flavor with some spicy but was a bit unbalanced with no finish.

Restrained and super fruity. Delicately refined and not a fault to be seen. Hot damn.

This Cab goes so well with Tri-tip, a big, juicy hamburger, lamb chop... Yummy juicy California style Cab.

Powdered sugar nose, blackberry flavors. Nice, big, acidic wine with some chocolate notes.
