Round and spicy, with a floral, herbal accent to the toasty pear flavors. Has more character than most California Suavignon Blancs. 5,800 cases made.

The well-priced 1995 Cuvée de Fumé (an 83% Sauvignon Blanc/17% Sèmillon blend) is a deliciously fruity, exuberant, dry wine with fig, melony, and herb-flavored fruit, good flesh and ripeness, and a medium-bodied, crisp finish. Drink it over the next year.

Bright pale yellow appearance. Medium-bodied. Balanced acidity. Moderately extracted. Citrus zest, tart peach, minerals. Bright, clean and zesty with a firm backbone of minerals. Some juicy qualities on the mid palate linger through the finish.

Very pale yellow straw. Moderately light-bodied. Balanced acidity. Moderately extracted. Spice, ripe citrus fruits, tobacco. Perfumed aromas lead a soft citrus palate with spicy notes through the finish.

A barrel-fermented style delivering plenty of buttery spice flavors and a touch of honey on a supple frame, hinting at fig and melon on the finish. Ready now, better in 1998.
