Drouhin Chablis Bougros 02 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

This white starts out rich and almost oily in texture, combining vanilla, beeswax, honey, melon and briny ocean flavors with concentration and intensity. The long finishes stretches out with mineral and citrus accents.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A ripe and admirably pure nose of various orchard fruits and tidal pool hints that can also be found on the big, rich and broad-shouldered flavors that display an overt muscularity on the delicious and mouth coating finish. As is to be expected with ... Burghound. A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2008 Drouhin, Domaine Joseph Chablis Bougros 750ml

As is to be expected with Bougros this is not a wine of finesse but rather of frank brawn. Burghound.
