Tea and earth aromas dominate the nose along with some subtle plummy fruit and hints of cola. Big and broad in the mouth and texturally showing very well with excellent integration and richness. The flavors remain fairly fresh, if perhaps fading with a nice core of black cherry fruit supported by a hint of sweetness, though there’s enough acidity here to keep this lively in the mouth. The tannins are soft and chewy, and the fruit remains admirably rich in a plummy candied blackberry way right through the rather long finish. This is simple to be sure, and the sweetness becomes more apparent, but it’s rich and voluptuous and would go great with a burger. 84pts

Winemaker's Notes:

Fruit-forward, insanely loveable full-bodied Petite Sirah. The minute you uncork the bottle, the boysenberry fruit leaps from your glass. With soft, supple tannins, this wine is great with food or without. Serve it at cellar temperature to allow the flavors to evolve in the glass.
