Drinkward Peschon Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Entre Deux Mères 2009
92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): Good saturated ruby. Ripe, inviting aromas and flavors of plum, blackberry, chocolate and mocha. Sweet and lush but with an element of coolness giving the mid-palate a sense of restraint. A bit darker in fruit character than the 2008 version. More stuffing here, along with riper, sweeter tannins. This offers early appeal but has the balance and structure to age gracefully. These vines are now 20 years old, according to Francoise Peschon. (May 2012)
Drinkward Peschon produces Napa Valley “Entre Deux Meres” Cabernet Sauvignon exclusively. Entre Deux Meres, pronounced “ontre doo mare” literally translates from the French as “Between Two Mothers.” Our friendship was initiated by our children and grew through a love of wine, work and play. Our first release was the 2000 vintage.
