Drew Pinot Noir Gatekeepers Rio Vista Vineyard Santa Rita Hills 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): (425 cases produced). An extremely subtle, indeed almost invisible touch of wood allows the fresh and pretty mix of both red and blue berry fruit aromas to express themselves clearly. The attractive, naturally sweet and solidly well-detailed medium-bodied flavors offer good depth and the best balance of any wine in the range before culminating in a dusty, pure and persistent finish where about the only nit is a discreet hint of backend warmth. This is a charming yet serious effort that could be enjoyed now with 30 minutes of air or aged for several years if desired. Comments: Outstanding. Drink: 2013+. (4/18/10)
