Dreaming Tree Everyday White 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

A collaboration between veteran winemaker, Steve Reeder and musician, Dave Matthews, Dreaming Tree is a delicious Chardonnay from California's Central Coast. One of the things that makes the Central Coast a great spot for producing a wine is the fog. The dense layer that blows in through the mountains from the sea acts like a sort of natural climate control, allowing for the warm days and cool nights that give the Chard its distinct delicious flavor. Nicely made, and not too big and fat, the fruit jumps out of the glass and reminds you of roasted pear or baked apple pie and citrus on the nose. On the palate, big fruit and brown spices that are backed by a distinct Central Coast citrus note with medium mouthfeel. There is some finesse here influenced by the cooler climes of the Cental Coast. Toasty, crisp and elegant, this California white is easy to enjoy and will bring the Coastal wine adventure right to your home. Good value.
