When you visit Santa Barbara’s eastern corner, there is a small highway that rises above the valley floor and into the hillside vineyards of Happy Canyon where longtime friends John and Steve Dragonette, and Brandon Sparks-Gillis sources from mostly biodynamic vineyards in Santa Barbara County and the Central Coast. This Sauvignon Blanc is a small production of specially selected barrel fermented and aged wine. A wonderful new world representation with old world winemaking technique and philosophy. Bonus Facts: During Prohibition a simple alcohol was produced in Happy Canyon. Legend has it that folks would take a trip up Happy Canyon to purchase the beverage.
