Dragani Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Selva de Canonici 2006

Member Review by lucto:

nose: decanting or long breathing time prior to olfactory pleasures INDISPENSABLE, if one does not want to get drunk by air :-) waiting is profitable. we have strong fruits of the forest notes, lots of cherry and hint of vanilla ( develops nicely in a small glass). Bigger glass accentuates peppery/spicy notes. mouth: suits olfactory impressions. strong, extractive, full-bodied, tannins round but spicy finish. we can still find fruity notes. REALLY nice. Definitely my type of red wine. good price and elegant bottle as well. tried April 2010

This wine is aged for at least 18 months in oak casks then aged in stainless steel tanks for about 6 months before it is bottled. It has a very structured and full taste with hints of cocoa.
