Bright and golden, with aromas of stone fruit, green apple and minerals, richly viscous flavors of green melon & apple, with wet slate, persistent finish lets you enjoy this wine with trout or smoked salmon, cold chicken salad or Asian stir fry. I wanted to bite into the glass!
We just had a book club and the Riesling was a huge hit. Ripe green apple, soft peach and hint of pear shine through without overwhelming with sweetness. Love the idea of blue slate soil, but in truth I couldn't pick up that note other that the wine seemed drier to me than California Riesling's right off the shelf. I will be buying half a case for future book clubs where 11/12 of the population are of the female persuasion ;)

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast"A terrific value in top-flight Riesling, this kabinett is named for a slate common in the middle Mosel and is ourced from a variety of Loosen's estate vineyards. Apple, cinnamon and slate notes are wonderfully interwoven in a wine that's creamy in texture without any accompanying heaviness. Finishes long and vibrant. "90 Points - Wine Spectator"There's a spicy, tangy quality to this white, along with quince and anise. It's all underscored by a mineral element and a vibrant structure, with a fine, lingering aftertaste of stone and anise. Best from 2009 through 2022. "
