Dr. Konstantin Frank Riesling 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Vinification: After crushing, destemming, pressing and cold temperature settling, the wine was fermented at a low temperature. The fermentation was stopped before dryness to preserve the fruity character of this wine. The wine was racked, blended, filtered, fined, cold stabilized and adjusted for bottling. Description: The 2006 Semi Dry Riesling, presenting a light golden hue, shows a fruitier less mineral character than the dry Riesling. The bouquet is dominated by ripe fruity aromas of melon, pear and pineapple. The mouthfeel is very pleasant with a good balance between the residual sugar and the acidic backbone typical of Riesling with a long finish. This Semi-dry Riesling is very enjoyable with spicy food or just on its own. Analysis: Alcohol: 11.5 % Acidity: .75 g/100 ml pH: 3.34 Sugar: 3.0 %

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
