Rating: 83/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. More peculiar than it is pleasant and suggesting cardboard and sour, green-citrus fruit more than anything else, this surprisingly hard wine is bereft of Riesling beauty, and its bitter finish only adds to its woes.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

"Rating: 94/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. 15% residual sugar. Purists will argue loudly that this wine misses out on precise varietal character

Rating: 94/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. 15% residual sugar. Purists will argue loudly that this wine misses out on precise varietal character, and they will be right. But, that concern pales into insignificance besides the amazingly deep, ripe and keenly balanced character on display here. The combination of concentrated honeysuckle, citrus zest, honey and roasted almonds in the nose is repeated in the wine's fully concentrated flavors and lasts into a rewardingly clean and deliciously long finish. 375 ml bottling.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

This Riesling displays wonderful characteristics of a steely acidic backbone, floral elements and pear/apple notes. This a wine that can easily be paired with food at the table and also enjoyed on its own.
