Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This winery on Keuka Lake produces award winning wines. Their Pinot Noir is a young wine, high in tannins with spicy and earthy tones, medium bodied, cherry and raspberry flavors. Drinkable now, or can be held on to for a few years. If you’re looking for a wine that is good for your heart, then this is one of them. In a recent study, New York wines were found to have the highest level of resveratrol, the substance that makes wine good for your heart. A bottle of Dr. Frank’s Pinot Noir contains the equivalent of 17,000 capsules of resveratrol — which can cost up to $8,500. So drink to your health.

This pleasant, light red features varietally true aromas of underbrush, cherries and strawberries and simple, bright fruity flavors. The finish brings in an interesting tree-bark note. Try slightly chilled to add needed grip.

Reflecting both its origins and vintages, this wine shows very good Pinot Noir character with vibrant raspberry and cherry fruit, soft tannins, lively acidity and a long, clean finish. This Pinot Noir shows the potential that Pinot Noir holds in the Finger Lakes region. A versatile wine, this Pinot Noir can both be paired with duck breast and other game dishes and with more delicate fish or poultry dishes. This wine has repeatedly shown particular high levels of resveratrol with all of the associated health benefits. - Winery

The Meriden, in its andldquo;Featuresandrdquo; section in September, has a very prominent article entitled andldquo;Dr. Frankandrsquo;s Pinot Noir proven healthiest wineandrdquo;. It cited Dr. Creasyandrsquo;s (Cornell University) ongoing research into the resveratrol content of wines from around the world, noting how it would take 17,000 resveratrol pills, at a cost of $8,500.00 to equal the resveratrol in one bottle of Dr. Frankandrsquo;s Fleur de Pinot Noir. Resveratrol, of course, is the antifungal substance founds in grape skins, and is a major aid in combating heart disease.
