Ripe, dark plum, medium body and a smooth finish make this a delightful wine to enjoy often with friends and chili.
Though not common in this area, New York Merlot, when done well, can be beautiful and elegant. Full-bodied, but not overly lush or fruity, the Dr. Frank Merlot is spice-driven, with great smoky oak notes. Underlying plum and currant flavors create a lovely balance for this sophisticated, tradtionally-styled red.
This New York Merlot is round and fleshy, with plum and blackberry flavors accented by smoky oak. A tremendous pairing with grilled lamb or a pot roast with root vegetables.
With aromas of blueberry and cassis as well as toasty vanilla notes, this cool-climate Merlot shows great elegance and richness. The use of both French and American oak barrels adds complexity and structure to this ageworthy wine. Enjoy this elegant red with lasagna, meats and sharp cheeses.
