Classic rose petal and lychee aromas really had me excited to taste this pale tan-gold white. A little too much residual sugar for me (and for the acid level). Floral, with a little melon and banana. Nothing special once you get past the great nose. Definitely not a very good value.

The 2013 Gewurztraminer comes in at 13% alcohol and 6 grams per liter of residual sugar. It was primarily sourced from Seneca Lake. Consider this dry, perceptibly. The sugar here does nothing but balance acidity and (more importantly) prevent the wine from being overly bitter, as dry Gewurz can sometimes be. Classic in demeanor, this is laced with spice and lychee nuances. The mid-palate concentration is not overly impressive and the wine does fade and thin with time, but at the price point it is certainly adequate. Elegant and lively, it’s a charmer that should be hard to resist in the short-term. It will hold just fine for a few years, and perhaps longer that I suspect, but why wait? It will be at its best when young and fresh.

Demonstrating that they produce a wide range of high quality wines, the Dr. Frank Gewürztraminer has all of the class of a much more expensive Alsatian wine; depth, length, and great flavors all add up to a great glass of wine.

Perfumed with aromas of blossoms and ripe tropical fruits, this deeply concentrated Gewürztraminer is full of fresh, youthful effervescence. Bright tangerine acidity lifts the palate and extends on a medium-long finish.

Aromas of orange blossoms, citrus and banana. The light residual sugar gives a subtle honey introduction followed by an acidic balanced enhanced with the slatey influence of our estate vineyards.

This wine shows the characteristic aromas of grapefruit, lime, lychee, banana and the spiciness associated with the Gewürztraminer variety. The slight residual sugar balances the phenolic elements typical of Gewürztraminer with the complexity of mineral overtones that presents the wine with a long, clean fresh finish. This wine can be paired with spicy dishes with great success. - Winery

Bright and peachy, and seemingly just off-dry, with pine and litchi notes on the finish. Drink now.
