Dr. Konstantin Frank Gewürztraminer 2008
This wine offers citrus - orange, grapefruit - and spice on the nose. On the palate, a sweeter array of apricot, tropical fruit and some lemon is buoyed by its minerality. A lusher style of Gewürtz that will pair well with spicy cuisine - think Indian curries.Add winemaker's notes

Spicy, with an almost crunchy edge to the bright acidity, which carries delicious apple, fig, almond and orange zest notes. Stays delineated and mouthwatering on the finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
Bright and peachy, and seemingly just off-dry, with pine and litchi notes on the finish. Drink now.
There is a certain knack to making great Gewurz, and Dr. Frank has it. This '99 is brimming with a spicy citrus blossom and rose-petal bouquet. Off-dry and surprizingly full-bodied, the flavors unfold to reveal strawberry, gooseberry, ande lemon peel, with a suggestion of bitterness on the finish. This is an excellent example of well-made Gewurz.
