Dr. Konstantin Frank Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Member Review by mwid625:

Doesn't really show like a cabernet. The color is very transparent. Nose has notes of pepper, cherry, and tobacco. Despite those notes, the palette is full of a bright, acidic flavor, which I really do not like.

Though itrsquo;s often difficult to produce good New York Cabernet, Dr. Frank has risen to the challenge and come out on top once again. Deep rich garnet with cassis, fig and tobacco notes. Well-structured and very food friendly: pair this with steak tartare or a hearty mushroom and vegetable dish.

A glorious, medieval-looking purple-red, with aromas and flavors of plums and cassis, cinnamon and north sea pipe tobacco. Itrsquo;s young but highly drinkable. Liquid poetry in motion.

Pure and focused, with red and black currant, toast, sweet tobacco and spice flavors, and a focused, almost racy finish. Lots of grip to the fruit, which has a second wave on the finish. Drink now thorugh 2005.
