Down Under Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Member Review by noeticfantod:

As an amateur my knowledge of what to expect from wine is limited, however, I like this one primarily because it tastes fruity without being too sweet. It is for me a perfect balance between sweet and dry with the added bonus that it does not feel as if it has left a film in my mouth as some red wines tend to do. The fact that it is under $5 is pleasantly surprising as well. I have paid much more for a less satisfying experience.

"The popularity of Australian chardonnays, combined with the availability of high quality wine at a super value price, make this is a natural for consumers and the trade." explained Franzia. "Down Under by Crane Lake has a fruit forward, crisp, clean taste in the Australian style." It’s not rocket science: Just good fruit made into a clean, zippy wine with fresh-fruit tastes.
