Established in Riquewihr in 1574, the Dopff family have dedicated themselves, for over 13 generations from Father to son, to the fine art of Alsation wines.Today, 3 generations manage the Dopffs estate: Pierre Dopff, the Managing Director, his son Pierre-Etienne, General Manager, and Etienne-Arnaud, Logistic and Development Manager, who was appointed at the beginning of the 1998 harvest. With just over 70 hectares under vine, Dopff au Moulin has become the most important estate in the Grand Cru Region on the South facing slopes of the Schoenenbourg (Belle Cote/Beautiful Hill) in the renowned Riesling Country, known for centuries for its excellent growing qualities. This whole range is an exceptional line up, both in price and quality, and a special mention should be made of the Cremant dAlsace, a leader in sparkling wines and invented in the 1800s by Dopff.
